10 New Hidden WhatsApp Features You Should Try Now

WhatsApp has been continuously introducing new features in an effort to improve the user experience.

As a result, a number of changes have been made lately that consumers could have missed. The goal of these upgrades is to make communication more effective and smooth by greatly enhancing the calling experience as well as the fundamental chat capabilities.

Additionally, to accommodate users who utilize its Channels feature for broadcasting and following updates, WhatsApp has included a few additional capabilities created especially for it.

1. Check Group Chats to See Who Is Online

Now you can view the number of individuals who are ‘Online’ in real time, directly beneath the group name, to help you determine if people are available to talk.

2. Give group alerts first priority.

Do you need a simple method to rank the alerts for your group chats? To restrict alerts to @mentions, responses, and messages from saved contacts, use the new ‘Notify for’ option and choose ‘Highlights’; alternatively, choose ‘All’ to get all notifications.

As of this writing, this functionality is accessible on Android and will be added to iOS in a future version.

3. Use 1:1 Chats to Create Events

You may now create an event in a one-on-one chat in addition to establishing events in groups. It is now possible to RSVP as’maybe’, invite a guest, add a time and date for lengthier events, and pin the event in a chat window.

4.Employ tappable responses.

There are moments when you just want to agree with what someone else stated. You may now easily see the responses of others and touch the one you want to send.

5. Use WhatsApp to scan papers

Send and scan documents straight from your iPhone’s WhatsApp app. To scan, crop, and save, just choose ‘Document’ > ‘Scan document’ from the attachment tray and follow the instructions.

6. Modify the iOS app that is used for calling and texting by default.

WhatsApp may now be configured as your iPhone’s default messaging and calling app thanks to the most recent iOS upgrade. Just choose WhatsApp under Settings > Default Apps.

7. To zoom in on video conferences, pinch

During a video conference, iPhone users may now pinch to zoom in on a video to see their own or a peer’s video up close.

8. Include a call from a chat window

Now, it’s simple to add someone to an ongoing one-on-one WhatsApp call. Simply choose the ‘Add to call’ option after tapping the call icon at the top of your chat screen.

9. Channels’ video notes

WhatsApp Channel managers may now swiftly shoot and share brief video updates for their followers, up to 60 seconds long, just as they do with standard conversations.

10. Transcripts of voice messages on Channels

Written summaries of voice message updates are now a convenient feature of WhatsApp Channels. When you’re on the go and unable to listen to the audio directly, this is quite helpful.

You may now use these features on WhatsApp.

Most of the aforementioned upgrades are now live and available on the most recent version of the WhatsApp app, with a few exceptions where some capabilities are either only available on Android at this time or have not yet been made available on iOS.
