The differences with respect to the design of the Beats Fit Pro and the AirPods Pro remain unchanged when compared to the AirPods Pro 2, as Apple’s second generation flagship earbuds didn’t get a design makeover. The AirPods Pro 2 still have stems that stick out of the ears, and they are only available to buy in white. In contrast, the Beats Fit Pro swap the stems for wingtips that provide a more secure fit, especially during workouts. They can be purchased in seven colors and even got limited-edition Skin Tone color options in August 2022.
Beats Fit Pro Vs. AirPods Pro 2: ANC & Spatial Audio
Support for Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking is available on both earbuds, but the AirPods Pro 2 have an advanced version called Personalized Spatial Audio. It works with the TrueDepth Camera on the iPhone to create a custom profile based on the user’s head. The AirPods Pro 2 also support 3D audio during group FaceTime calls. Audio performance should also be better on the AirPods Pro 2 as their Adaptive EQ feature tunes the audio in real-time based on a user’s ears.
Touch controls are supported on both earbuds, but while users can adjust the volume on the AirPods Pro 2 with a swipe on the stem, the Beats Fit Pro don’t support touch-based volume controls. Thanks to the H1 and H2 chip in the Beats Fit Pro and AirPods Pro 2 respectively, pairing with Apple devices is a breeze. There is also automatic audio switching and audio sharing.
Beats Fit Pro Vs. AirPods Pro 2: Compatibility, Battery Life, & Price
The Beats Fit Pro have a battery life of up to six hours with ANC or transparency mode enabled and a total of 24 hours with the charging case. The AirPods Pro 2 also boast six-hour battery life and a total of 30 hours with the charging case with ANC enabled. Both earbuds support fast charging. However, while the Beats Fit Pro charge via USB-C, the AirPods Pro 2 have a Lightning port and also support Qi and MagSafe wireless charging. Another feature of the AirPods Pro 2’s case is the built-in speaker that makes it easy to find and also emits a sound when the battery is low. The case also has a U1 ultra-wide band chip that allows for precision finding using the Find My app.
It is obvious the AirPods Pro 2 offer more in terms of features, although Android users get the bare minimum when it comes to features. The Beats Fit Pro are the better earbuds for Android users, and they’re also great for people who own both Apple and Android devices. While the AirPods Pro 2’s $249 price tag is a significant bump over the Beats Fit Pro’s $199 price, the extra $50 might be worth it for Apple users. However, those who want more color options and a pocket-friendly price tag will do well to pick up the Beats Fit Pro.
