The Galaxy A34 5G will be a follow-up to the Galaxy A33 5G released in March 2022. While Samsung didn’t launch the Galaxy A33 5G in the U.S., the availability of the upcoming mid-ranger hasn’t been confirmed yet. Ahead of the launch, the phone’s spec sheet has been published, revealing key details about the smartphone. According to a tweet by tipster Yogesh Brar, the Galaxy A34 5G will have a few notable upgrades over the Galaxy A33 5G.
A Bigger & Better Display
Buyers will have two RAM variants and two storage variants to choose from. The base model will have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while the highest configuration should have 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There is no mention of a microSD card slot, but there should be one as the feature is still available on Samsung’s budget and mid-range smartphones. The front-facing camera on the Galaxy A34 5G will be a 13MP sensor, while the rear will house a triple camera setup that includes a 48MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 5MP macro camera.
The Galaxy A34 will run Android 13 out of the box with OneUI on top. The phone will support Wi-Fi 6, and like the Galaxy A33 5G, will have an IP67 dust and water resistance rating. It will feature a large 5,000mAh battery and support for 25W fast charging. It is not expected to come with a charger in the box considering that the Galaxy A33 5G didn’t ship with one.
The aforementioned specs show the display and processor are the main changes this year. While those who picked up the Galaxy A33 5G may not need to upgrade, there are enough changes for those with older models. As for the release date, the wait for the Galaxy A34 5G won’t be too long, as the source has revealed that Samsung will unveil the phone next month.
