The S Pen of the Galaxy S23 Ultra is no different from the one on the Galaxy S22 Ultra in terms of design and features. However, they have different model numbers. While the S Pen should be safe when not in use if it’s stored in the silo on the Galaxy S23 Ultra, it can still get misplaced or damaged. The good news is that Samsung sells a replacement for $49.99. This is the same price as the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s S Pen.
The S Pen Comes In Four Colors
The Galaxy S23 Ultra S Pen isn’t the only replacement stylus that Galaxy S23 Ultra users can purchase. For those who prefer a thicker stylus that’s closer to a real pen, there is the S Pen Pro. It’s double the price at $99, is only available in black, and definitely won’t fit into the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s storage silo.
The S Pen Pro has all the features of the regular S Pen, alongside additional ones, such as the ability to locate it using the SmartThings app and compatibility with several other Galaxy devices including select tablets, Chromebooks, and Galaxy Book PCs.
Both the Galaxy S23 Ultra S Pen and S Pen Pro have Bluetooth, and can be used as a remote shutter for the camera app. With the help of gestures or a click of the side button, users can take pictures or switch between cameras. The S Pen can also be used to control media playback.
In addition to Bluetooth support, the S Pens have support for Air Command. By hovering the stylus over the screen of the Galaxy S23 Ultra and pressing the side button, users can access a handful of features such as AR Doodle, Live Message, Screen Write, and Smart Select.
