Some games are free for everyone to play, but Apple News Plus members can play all of them for free.
On July 17, which is also known as World Emoji Day, Apple released the Emoji Game. Apple, on the other hand, added the famous math game Sudoku to the News app with iOS 18.2 in December.
Anyone can try a few sudoku puzzles for free, but people who subscribe to Apple News Plus can play new problems every day. For $13 a month, Apple News Plus gives you access to daily sudoku puzzles and other puzzles like Quartiles. It also gives you access to stories from newspapers and magazines like The New Yorker and The Wall Street Journal.
Find sudoku on your iPhone here, and learn how to play it.

How do I play sudoku on my iPhone?
There are 9 squares (9 by 9) on which you have to put the numbers 1 through 9. In that grid, there are nine 3-by-3 blocks. You need to put numbers in each block, row, and column so that there are no duplicates. The number 2 can’t show up twice in a block, and the same is true for each row and column.
To put a number into an iPhone puzzle, tap the Pen icon below the puzzle, tap the place you want to fill in, and then tap the number at the bottom of the screen. Remember that if a space can hold two or three numbers, you can tap Notes next to Pen and then pick all of the numbers that can go in that area.
