The OnePlus 11 is official, and its headlining features include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, the world’s first LTPO 3.0 display, and 100W fast charging.
OnePlus 11 Has 100W Fast Charging
Under the hood, the OnePlus 11 features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which offers a 35 percent faster CPU and 25 percent faster GPU than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Alongside the chipset, OnePlus has equipped the phone with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, an upgrade over the maximum 12GB RAM on the OnePlus 10 Pro released last year. To power the smartphone throughout the day, OnePlus has equipped it with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 100W SUPERVOOC fast charging via a Type-C port.
Although the battery capacity is similar to several Android flagships on the market, the charging speed is nearly four times as fast as what users get on models like the Galaxy S22 Ultra or Pixel 7 Pro. However, in the U.S., the charging speed is likely to be capped at 65W.
To take photos, the OnePlus 11 has a triple-rear camera system, headlined by Sony’s new IMX890 50MP primary sensor. The smartphone also has a 32MP IMX709 portrait lens and a 48MP IMX581 ultra-wide lens. Thanks to the ongoing Hasselblad partnership, the OnePlus 11 also features support for the camera manufacturer’s color calibration system.
Regarding availability, the OnePlus 11 will be up for sale in China from Jan. 7, 2023. However, interested users in other parts of the world, including markets like the United States and India, will have to wait until Feb. 7, 2023, which is when OnePlus releases the phone globally. In its native market, the OnePlus 11 will start from ¥3,999 (~$580) for the base variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The top variant, with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, is priced at ¥4,899 (~$710). The OnePlus Buds Pro 2, priced at ¥899 (~$130), will follow the same release schedule for China and other markets.
