ADV., an audio company that both designs custom audio products and creates accessories for existing ones, sent over its Eartune Fidelity UF-A ear tips for review. There are plenty of different memory foam ear tips made for AirPods Pro available at online retailers, and all of them aim to provide a better in-ear fit. While silicon ear tips only have a little bit of give when they’re placed in the ear, memory foam ear tips provide a completely different experience. The memory foam ear tips can expand and contract to fit the shape of the user’s individual ear canal, the size of which varies from person to person.
AirPods Pro Memory Foam Ear Tips: Pros & Cons
Unlike Apple’s own silicon ear tips, there is a hard plastic stem behind the memory foam of ADV.’s replacement ear tips. This, in theory, might cause discomfort after long periods of listening. However, the Eartune Fidelity UF-A ear tips didn’t cause any soreness. In fact, they actually felt more comfortable and secure in the ear than with Apple’s stock ear tips installed. With the memory foam ear tips installed, AirPods Pro still fit perfectly in their charging case.
The Eartune Fidelity UF-A ear tips retail for $19.99 per pack and come in nine different colors – gray, orange, blue, black, purple, pastel blue, rose pink, navy, and ash purple. The last four pastel colors offer a refined look, while the first five make a statement. Since Apple only sells AirPods in one color, these ear tips can be a fun way to add some customization to the ear buds. These ear tips are worth a shot for people who constantly worry about their AirPods falling out of their ear, but users who like the fit of the stock AirPods Pro should probably stick to what’s working.
